Hello everybody!

We wanted to send an update to let everyone know the Kickstarter for the LumberJax graphic novel launches at 11:55am est tomorrow! This also happens to be Morgan’s son’s birthday! We want to really kick things off with a bang to celebrate and help this be the best birthday present he could get. 

His kids are on the cover of both versions of the graphic novel. His son Sean (Derrick) in the comic universe is in the white shirt on the cover. His daughter Amber (Aaliyah) is in the black shirt on the cover. This cover is an homage to the first LumberJax cover. Jax stood alone in the first one surrounded by citizens determined to get justice by any means. On this one he’s surrounded by his family to help him stand against the villains you meet in LumberJax 1-4 hidden all over the cover. 

 

The next cover above is an homage cover to Morgan and his kids being the inspiration and celebration of this graphic novel getting completed. There’s more info on the Kickstarter page. I won’t spoil for you but I assure you, if you want to be inspired, encouraged or made grateful for what you have, do not miss the launch of the Kickstarter tomorrow morning or the live on Facebook Morgan will be doing. That Purple Ninja Aceblade is Back on Kickstarter!

Aceblade is BACK!

We're down to the last full day of this campaign and I wanted to give you a little update on one of the Variant covers we have available. The Blerd Without Fear Aceblade cover now has a little added Easter Egg.

If you follow me on Social media, you may have heard me talk about one of my absolute FAVORITE movies of all time, "Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon". It's a story about a young man going on a journey to find the "Master" when all along the master was HIM! Both Ernie and I love this movie and I asked him to add a little glow to Aceblade for his cover as an easter egg. 

Thanks everyone who's jumped in and pledged for the 9th issue or the bundles. Please share through this last 24 hours as soon as you can so we can get as may eyes on this project as possible before it ends. 

We added Lapel Pins to the add-ons list also for anyone who would like to have one of the first ones that are made. Hey family!!!! 

Just a very quick update my bro Danny J. Quick just launched Aceblade #7 yesterday! We’re almost half way funded in a little over 24 hours and we need your help to push us past the first goal! We love you for loving us, so I wanted to make sure you guys knew about the new kickstarter and also show you this!!!! 

This is the second variant cover for LumberJax #4 by my big bro Wolly McNair, who also is the artist for Harlem’s renaissance. The kickstarter for LumberJax #4 will be in December 2023, so get ready but for now, back Danny’s campaign for Aceblade #7. Everyone that backs his campaign at a physical copy of the comic tier will get a signed 6x9 poster of this cover when the rewards for Aceblade #7 get shipped!
